How to Implement New Christmas Decoration Ideas https://pavaninaidu.com/how-to-implement-new-christmas-decoration-ideas/ https://pavaninaidu.com/how-to-implement-new-christmas-decoration-ideas/#respond Mon, 31 Oct 2022 19:01:04 +0000 http://pavaninaidu.com/?p=3147 Read More]]> Implement New Christmas Decoration Ideas

You probably have several Christmas decoration ideas on your mind but do not know how to implement them. If you are tired of finding new ideas, it is high time you pick them up again. However, the reason for being held back is that some people fear going against tradition. You may ask, what if it does not turn out nice? You need to bear in mind that Christmas decorations are first a personal activity. Thus, you may want to highlight your preferred styles, colors, and shapes before setting up the Christmas decoration. The concept will portray your theme and preferences.

Be Specific with your Design

If you have a large house and many friends and families coming around, you are probably decorating a large number of spaces. No matter how big a home is, each room has its specific purpose. For instance, the bathrooms and bedrooms do not serve the same purpose.

Make sure to create a theme for each room so that it could light up the resident’s moods. The bedroom can be all romantic, with some touch of red roses and love hearts. You also want to consider the personality of the people in the room. For instance, the colors used to decorate the boys’ room will differ from the girls’ room. However, you may speak with the kids if they prefer any specific color.

Bear in Mind the Motive Behind the Christmas Event

No matter your idea, the end goal should always depict love and happiness. Christmas is a season to share love and joy with your loved ones. Make sure to consider this not only when searching for Christmas gift ideas  but when shopping for Christmas decorations as well. For instance, you can add Christmas lights to your bathroom to make the decor more intimate. However, this is ideal for couples. You can also add a humidifier and scented candles to the room to give off a relaxing scent. You can pass lightning across the flooring to slightly tone the whole decoration.

Evolve in Setting Up Christmas Trees

The traditional way of setting up Christmas decorations is relatively rigid. The trees have little or no extra accessories, with lights and a cross centered in the middle of the tree. You can create as many Christmas trees as you want in this modern age. However, endeavor to place them strategically in the house to make the decor appear less cumbersome, especially if you are adding some Christmas gifts underneath it as part of your décor. Various trees will make the home appear cozier and foster a bond among the family members. You can make the trees symmetrical, with the same height differences between each tree.

Use Varieties of Christmas Lights

You need to spice up your Christmas decoration with the proper lighting. You can bring your home alive by adding more characters to your decoration. It will also help if you use lights of different colors. When decorating each room in the house, you can ask for the best shade of a particular occupant. You can also focus the lights on the darkest parts of the house. This will bring more life to your home setup.

Conclusion

As Christmas is festival of stars, lights and trees decoration, these decorations may be woven, blown (glass or plastic), molded (ceramic or metal), carved from wood or expanded polystyrene, or made by other methods.  Items like pine or moss trees, bells, simple wreaths, pine boughs, pinecones, simple garlands and bottle brush trees can all be used in winter decor as well!  Christmas lights represent the hope and solace of the savior, a constant comfort that shines even in the dark depths of winter. Of course, those belonging to other religious traditions decorate as part of their faith during the holiday season too.

Janmashtami is a Hindu festival and gazette holiday in many parts of India.

It may be called Gokulashtami or Srikrishna Jayanti in some areas. According to the Hindu calendar, Janmashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami (eighth day) of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in Shravan (in the Hindu calendar, there is a leap month every three years).

In India, it is a gazetted holiday in the states of Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu, and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

In Tamil Nadu, this holiday is called Sri Krishna Jayanti.

History and Background of Janmashtami

One of the most important Hindu festivals, Janmashtami (Krishna Jayanti) is the birthday of Krishna, the eighth reincarnation of Lord Vishnu, who imparted the main message of the Bhagavad Gita – the guiding principles for every Hindu.

All over India, there are festivals and prayers at temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. There may be fasting and prayer until midnight the previous day, at which time Krishna is said to have been born.

Krishna was born in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. In this region, a common tradition is the performance of Krishna Leela, a folk drama with scenes from the life of Lord Krishna.

Many customs have developed in different parts of India, all based on stories from Krishna’s life.

For example, as a boy, Krishna is said to have loved butter and milk so much that they had to be kept out of his reach. This story is reflected in many climbing games for children.

  • In Tamil Nadu, oiled electricity poles are erected with pots of money tied on top. Boys dressed as Krishna try to climb these poles to get money.
  • In Maharashtra, the festival is called Govinda, where pots of buttermilk are placed on the streets. Groups of boys build human pyramids and compete against each other to see who can break the most pots.

Krishna

Many colorful legends tell about the life of Krishna, and he is a prominent figure in Hindu scriptures.

As a child, he is noted for his pranks, such as stealing the aforementioned butter, and pictures of him as a child show him dancing happily and holding a ball of butter in his hands.

As an adult, he is usually depicted as a dancer or lover, often playing the flute and surrounded by beloved women. In one story, he is said to have defeated the many-headed Kaliya by dancing into submission.

Lord Krishna has 108 names

Though we all have nicknames, Lord Krishna has a whopping 108 names! Some of his names include Govind, Mohan, Hari, Vasudeva, Shyam, Ghanshyam, and to name a few more! These names reflect in all the bhajans and hymns which devotees sing on Janmashtami!

Janmashtami Around the World

Janmashtami is celebrated with great fervor by Hindus across the Indian subcontinent and beyond. On “A Janmashtami Journey”, we take a whistle-stop tour around the world to see how this great festival is celebrated.

Janmashtami is celebrated in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, and New Zealand where Hindus live the most. The day is marked with great fanfare and enthusiasm in London, America, and Poland and there is a unique temple on the Macau Peninsula.

Raksha Bandhan Related Stories

Rakshabandhan is a special festival in Indian culture. On this day sisters tie, rakhi on their brother’s hands, and the brothers promise to protect their sister. Various mythological stories are told about Raksha Bandhan in religious texts. Let us know how it started and who it is related to.

Krishna and Draupadi

In the TretaYuga, before the Mahabharata war, Sri Krishna raised Sudarsana Chakra against King Sisupala, when his hand was wounded and bled, Draupadi then tore his saree and tied it to his hand, in return for which Sri Krishna promised. Save Draupadi from all danger. Lord Krishna protected Draupadi by playing this raga during Raga Haran, hence Raksha Bandhan festival is celebrated.

Rakhi of Indra and Indrani

It is believed that once upon a time there was a war between Asuras and Devas dominated by Asura Shakti. Their victory in battle was considered inevitable. Indra’s wife Indrani began to feel sorry for her husband Indra, the king of the gods. So through worship, she made a powerful protective thread and tied it to Indra’s wrist.

It is said that after this the Devas won the war and since then Raksha Bandhan is celebrated as Sawan Purnima day. However, this is the only instance where a wife has tied a rakhi to her husband. But later in the Vedic period, this change came and the ceremony became a brother-sister relationship.

Queen Karnavati and Emperor Humayun

Queen Karnavati of Chittor sent a rakhi to Emperor Humayun to protect her kingdom from the invasion of Sultan Bahadur Shah of Gujarat and requested him to protect her. Humayun also accepted her Rakhi and left for Chittor with his soldiers to protect them all. But, before Humayun reached Chittor, Rani Karnavati committed suicide.

Goddess Lakshmi and King Bali

According to religious legends, when King Bali performed the Ashwamedha Yagya, Lord Vishnu assumed the form of a dwarf and asked King Bali to donate three feet of land. The king agreed to give three feet of land. When the king said yes, Lord Vishnu increased in size and measured the entire earth by three feet, and gave half to King Bali. King Bali then asked Lord Vishnu for a boon that whenever I see God, I only see you. Every moment I wake up, I just want to see you. The Lord gave this boon to King Bali and started living with the king.

As Maha Vishnu lived with the king, Devi Lakshmi became worried and narrated the whole story to Naradji. Then Naradji told Goddess Lakshmi that they should make King Bali your brother and ask Vishnu. Hearing Naratji’s words, Goddess Lakshmi went to King Bali crying, then King Bali asked Goddess Lakshmi why she was crying. Devi said she has no brothers. King Bali heard the mother’s words, saying, “From today I am your brother.” Then Goddess Lakshmi tied Rakhi for King Bali. Since then, this holy festival of brothers and sisters has been believed to be well known.
